What To Expect:
THE REVIVE DAY RETREAT
is especially supportive and created for anyone
who spends much of their time supporting
or holding space for others,
and who feels quietly depleted:
yoga teachers, facilitators or tired parents,
as well as people with high responsibility careers
caregivers, empaths, HSP's and the natural
“Givers" and "Fixers” among us.
When we are constantly giving without restoring ourself,
it becomes harder to access resilience, clarity and creativity.
This Day is For You if:
-
you often find yourself saying yes too easily,
-
you are carrying a lot for others,
-
often find yourself giving and fixing
-
are feeling exhausted or depleted.
-
need clarity or direction or coherence
-
feel the need to balance energy
-
love quiet time for reflection and contemplation
A Gentle Pace
The day is intentionally not packed side-to-side
with fast-paced activities,.
We've allowed optional space to rest and reflect
The idea is to slow down, notice
and restore your energy.
All practices are offered as invitations
rather than expectations.
The writing prompts are gentle reflections ;
not something you have to complete.
Through gentle somatic movement, contemplation, guided writing,
creative reflection and time in the garden,
we will explore simple ways to restore balance.
Throughout the Day we’ll Touch On:
-
energy awareness
-
writing as a reflective practice
-
observing our inner habits and responses
-
small adjustments that support wellbeing
-
what conscious boundaries might look like.
No yoga or writing experience necessary.

in creating the day and experience
for you.
Your choice supports both your own energy
and others.

We offer one Karma place for someone who feels called to attend
but may not currently have the financial resources to join at the full rate.
This place is partially supported by the retreat itself, together with the spirit of generosity that helps make these gatherings possible.
If this option feels aligned with your current circumstances, you are warmly welcome to choose it.
We are grateful for your honesty and care in choosing the option
that feels right for you and supports the spirit of the retreat.
🌿 ARRIVAL AND MEETING POINT
-
We’ll be spending the day at AMANDARI YOGA SHALA - 4 CHURCH STREET, GREYTON
🌿 THE RETREAT STARTS AT 9.00am
-
Please aim to arrive by 8.45am - so we have time to meet each other, and time for any last-minute questions or adjustments and so we can start at 9.00am. If arriving late is unavoidable, please let me know what time you expect to arrive.
🌿 WHAT TO BRING
-
Your yoga mat - I have a few mats, so if you don't have a personal yoga mat it's not a problem.
-
A meditation cushion / bench (optional) - we have at the studio
-
A light jersey, shawl or wrap and something waterproof for light showers. The weather can be unpredictable and changeable in Greyton, so wear layers.
-
Please bring warm comfortable socks - even in the height of summer, when meditating or sitting still for a period of time, hands and feet tend to get chilly.
-
Pencil and paper / notebook for notes or reflections during the retreat.
🌿 RETREAT FOOD GUIDELINES
-
All meals at the retreat will be plant-based and there will be a gluten-free option upon request. (Pls advise dietary requirements when booking)
-
I’ll be providing a light plant-based lunch
-
Feel free to bring along something to snack on in-between if you feel you will need that. Please: only plant-based foods at the studio.
🌿 GENTLE REMINDER
-
It’s generally a good idea to avoid eating or drinking a large amount for at least 1 to 2 hours before practicing any yoga or meditation. And since we’ll be practising yoga and meditation at the beginning of our day, it’s best to eat a light breakfast to stay comfortable.
🌿 ACCOMMODATION
-
Should you wish to stay over the evening before or after the retreat, there are many wonderful options to stay in Greyton.
-
Please arrange your own accommodation and dinner will be your own arrangement.
🌿 EMBRACE THE SILENCE
-
Some parts of our retreat will be silent. If you're not used to it, it might feel strange and contrived at first, but it's a good way of providing an opportunity for deeper reflection and connection with yourself.
-
We invite you to enjoy the sensation of silence and find peace in it.
-
🌿 GENERAL YOGA STUDIO ETIQUETTE
-
IF YOU'RE NOT FAMILIAR WITH YOGA SPACES AND HOW TO MOVE AROUND IN THEM, HERE ARE A FEW TIPS TO MAKE YOUR RETREAT FLOW:
In most INTEGRAL HOLISTIC YOGA STUDIOS around the world there is a similar and shared understanding of how we create a harmonious environment. This helps us support one another and enhances our shared practice. Keeping these principles in mind can elevate your time in the studio and creates a peaceful atmosphere for everyone. Here are some guidelines to consider during your time with us: PLEASE DO: ARRIVE EARLY: It is polite to arrive 15 minutes before we start so everyone can start together. Give yourself those few minutes to settle in and take a few breaths. This helps create a shared sense of connection and peace as we begin our time together. REMOVE YOUR SHOES: It is customary to remove shoes before stepping into the practice space and practicing yoga with bare feet. If you are a barefoot person, we love you! But please bring clean socks to help keep the studio floor and props clean. EMBRACE THE QUIET: There's no need to make small talk when you come in if you don't feel like it. Generally a yoga practice space is a silent, meditative space. And you're welcome to embrace the calm and keep conversation to a minimum to maintain a serene atmosphere. BRING AN OPEN HEART: Come with an open mind, a kind heart and a willingness to explore, learn and connect. SWITCH OFF OR SILENCE ALL DEVICES: Please, no sounds or vibrations from phones, smart watches, etc. And we would be very grateful if you make calls outside the studio spaces.
DIRECTIONS TO
AMANDARI YOGA SHALA
GREYTON
FROM CAPE TOWN /
CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Start from Cape Town: Take the N2 highway heading east toward Somerset West. Continue on the N2: Drive along the N2 for approximately 110 km. (You’ll pass Somerset West, Grabouw, and Houw Hoek Pass). Keep an eye out for signs for Caledon. After about 110 km on the N2, look for the R406 turn-off to Greyton and Genadendal, located between Bot River and Caledon. Turn left onto the R406. This scenic road will take you directly to Greyton. It’s about 32 km from the turn-off to the village. As you enter Greyton, follow the main road, DS Botha Street, through the village. Look for a large, white church on the left hand side of the road. Church Street is the small dirt road just behind the church. Look out for a light green/blue wooden gate. That's us! If you need more directions details, please message me. Estimated driving time from Cape Town Central is about 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Enjoy the drive; it's a beautiful route!
