maja heynecke
​Maja is the spark and soul behind Amandari Yoga Shala in Greyton—a warm, intentional space for yoga, meditation and healing.
Her journey began in Thailand in 1992, where a chance encounter with a Buddhist monk ignited her interest in Buddhism. She deepened her understanding through exploring Transcendental Meditation (TM), Vipassana, Kadampa, and Zen Buddhism.
Maja experienced first-hand the healing potential of meditation and yoga and went on to qualify as an Integral Vinyasa and Yin Yoga teacher. She took further yoga training in pre- and post-natal yoga, trauma-informed yoga and functional anatomy.
Also certified Reiki Master (USUI), Maja's studies in Buddhist psychology, Zen therapy and Ayurveda, along with her personal journey as a Soto Zen practitioner, enrich her teaching approach and means she brings a wealth of knowledge to her classes..

lana kenney
Lana is a Sattva yoga teacher and InnerDance facilitator (MORE ABOUT INNERDANCE BELOW) and offers Reiki, Energy Healing and Kahuna Bodywork.
All of these holistic modalities are intended to bring about greater harmony, flow and renewed energy.
Lana is a creative at heart and values time in nature, authenticity, heartfelt connection and soulful living.
Weaving various healing and wellbeing practices into the workshops and experiential journeys that she offers, brings about much joy and meaning.
As do the simplest of things – early morning birdsong, enjoying a slow coffee with good friends and discovering beauty in unexpected places.
